Food Safety

This course is ideal for anyone requiring the basic level of food safety training: food handlers, waiters, kitchen assistants, chefs and food samplers or demonstrators.

The course takes approximately two and a half hours to complete and progress can be saved, enabling you to return to it later and start where you left off. You can access the course as many times as you like within a year.

The course is broken down into an introduction, five modules and an assessment. The introduction presents the main principles of working hygienically. The remainder of the course expands and reinforces food safety skills, and includes an explanation of bacteria and the food safety scheme HACCP.

On passing the assessment you can print your certificate to show that the required standard of knowledge has been reached. Course notes are also available upon completion.

Fire Safety

This course is the ideal basic fire safety training for any business, whether as a first time training package, as part of staff induction, or a refresher course of employer and employee responsibilities.

The online Fire Safety course is broken down into an introduction, four modules and an assessment. The two main modules cover all the basics that every employee needs to know about fire in the workplace, including the different types of fire extinguisher. Additional modules are refresher modules about the duties of night staff and fire marshal.

The course takes approximately one and a half hours to complete and progress can be saved, enabling you to return to it later and start where you left off. You can access the course as many times as you like within a year.

On passing the assessment, you can print your certificate to show that the required standard of knowledge of fire safety awareness has been reached. Course notes are also available upon completion.

Health and Safety

The health and safety training course is an in depth and accessible guide to the responsibilities of employers and employees at work. This course is for everyone in the workplace.

The course is broken down into an introduction, eight modules and an assessment. The course covers all the basic principles that everyone in the workplace needs to know: slips trips and falls, manual handling, risk assessment, spotting hazards, preventing accidents.

The course takes approximately three and a half hours to complete and progress can be saved, enabling you to return to it later and start where you left off. You can access the course as many times as you like within a year.

On passing the assessment, a Health and Safety certificate can be printed out. Course notes are also available upon completion.

Hazard Awareness

The Hazard Awareness course is aimed at raising awareness at induction level for young people in work experience or people who are about to begin employment.

The course takes approximately two hours to complete and progress can be saved, enabling you to return to it later and start where you left off. You can access the course as many times as you like within a year.

The course is broken down into an introduction, three modules and a multiple choice assessment. On passing the assessment a certificate can be printed.

VDU Awareness

This is an awareness course for people who regularly work with display screen equipment (DSE).

The course is broken down into an introduction, four modules and a workstation self-assessment. The self-assessment produces a report which the employer or occupational therapist can use to identify problems with staff workstations or VDUs.

Manual Handling

This awareness course in Manual Handling covers the basics of lifting and lowering loads, as well as pushing and pulling trolleys and other mechanical aids.
